                  Strictly Scratch Singles: Averages (See Below)

                  Team: No Age Divisions

 

Sport Fee: $12 Per Event

 

REGISTRATION RULES

- Tournament is WIBC/ABC Sanctioned--WIBC/ABC membership is required.

- If a participant is not an WIBC/ABC member, he/she must purchase a sanction card or pay a $5 Participation Fee.

- Sanctioned average verification (copy of cover and page from Association Average Book) is required and must be submitted with registration form (league sheets will not be accepted).

- Participants may enter Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Team events, but may enter each event only once. Women with a 161+ average and men with a 171+ average may also enter Strictly Scratch Singles.

- For Doubles and Mixed Doubles, the age division will be determined by the average of the partners’ ages.

- For Strictly Scratch Singles, the divisions will be:

> Women: 161-185 Average

> Men: 171-185 Average

> Women & Men: 186-199 Average

> Women & Men: 200+ Average

- The total number of bowlers may be limited. Register early!

 

FORMAT / RULES

- The entering average shall be the highest WIBC/ABC Sanctioned Association Book Average of at least 21 games using the following list of priorities in order (a) thru (d):

(a) 2004-2005 WIBC/ABC Sanctioned Association Book Average.

(b) 2003-2004 WIBC/ABC Sanctioned Association Book Average.

(c) 2005 Summer WIBC/ABC Sanctioned Association Book Average.

(d) Current 2005-2006 WIBC/ABC Sanctioned Average.

- If no sanctioned average, women must use 160 and men must use 170.

- Rules 319a-2, 319c, 319d and 319e are not in effect, nor will bowler’s average be adjusted to a lower average. Rule 319a-3 applies--bowlers are responsible for verifying their own average, whether submitted by the bowler, the team captain or others.

- Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Team events will each be a six-game competition with three games of qualifying. The top 25% Scratch and the top 25% Handicap scores of the qualifying series will advance to the Finals.

- Strictly Scratch Singles will be one four-game competition, changing lanes for each game.

- Participants must present their HWSG ID Badge and their sanction card at the on-site check-in desk prior to the Singles event or their first event.

 

EVENT SCHEDULE

Monday, Oct. 10--Singles and Doubles Qualifying

Tuesday, Oct. 11--Doubles Qualifying, Mixed Doubles Qualifying, Team Qualifying

Wednesday, Oct. 12--Mixed Doubles Qualifying, Team Qualifying, Singles and Doubles Finals

Thursday, Oct. 13--Doubles Finals, Mixed Doubles Finals, Strictly Scratch Singles

Friday, Oct. 14--Team Finals

 

MEDALS

- Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles: In each age division, the three highest scratch totals of the finals competition will win Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Medals will also be awarded for the three highest handicap totals (scratch winners will not be eligible for handicap awards).

- Team: The top three Scratch and the top three Handicap teams (with no team receiving two awards) will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Medals will not be awarded by age division.

- Strictly Scratch Singles: In each division, the three highest scratch series will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

- All Events: Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be awarded to the top three women and men in each age division with the highest total scores in the qualifying rounds for Singles, Doubles (or Mixed Doubles if not bowling Doubles) and Team events.

- Overall Champions: Overall Champion medal will be awarded to the woman and man with the most pins-over-average scored in qualifying series in Singles, Doubles (or Mixed Doubles if not bowling Doubles) and Team events.

- Special HWSG Club Pins will be awarded for all 225+ and 250+ games and 600+ series. Bowlers with less than a 140 average will also be eligible for 200+ and 525+ pins. Each bowler is eligible for one of each pin.

- All medals will be awarded at the Sport Sponsor Social.
