REGISTRATION RULES

- As of the printing of this Handbook, confirmation letters for registered teams have been mailed to Team Managers. Additional teams will be accepted on the Waiting List only.

- A Team Packet including a Handbook, Team Roster form and an Area Visitor’s Guide will be mailed to Team Managers on June 1st.

- Registration forms for individual team members that have attended the Games in 2002, 2003 or 2004 will be mailed directly to the individual team members on June 1st.

- Registration forms for individual team members that have not previously attended the Games will be included in the Team Manager’s Team Packet.

- Team Roster Forms must be submitted by July 26.

- Changes to the Team Roster may be "called in" to the HWSG office until September 1. After September 1, only "emergency changes" can be made by calling the HWSG office and speaking directly to John Peters or Dan Needy. Changes or additions will not be permitted at the Manager’s Meetings.

- Registration forms for individual team members must be submitted by September 1. Note: Early-Bird Registration deadline is August 1… a $20 discount!

- Rule Books and schedules will be mailed to Team Managers on September 15. The schedules will also be posted on our website on September 15.

- Players may play on up to two teams if they are listed on both team rosters before the July 26th Roster deadline. The teams must be in different age divisions. A player may play in a younger age division, but not older. If the playing times of the two teams conflict, the player will have to choose which team he will play for. Players that register for two softball teams must pay two sport fees.

 

MANDATORY MANAGERS MEETINGS

60+, 65+--Sunday, Oct. 2, 7:00 pm

50+, 55+, 70+, 74+--Sunday, Oct. 9, 7:00 pm

Both meetings will be held at the St. George Recreation Center, 285 South 400 East, St. George.

 

FORMAT / RULES

- Each team is guaranteed 5 games.

- Age divisions for teams will be determined by the age of the youngest team member.

- Monday and Tuesday will be round-robin play after which teams will be seeded into "Major Plus", "Major", "AAA", "AA", "A", "B" or "C" divisions (depending on entries) for the double elimination championship tournament.

- At the discretion of the Tournament Committee, Gold Medal teams from the previous year’s Games may be moved up in divisions.

- All team members must check-in at the Dixie Center where they will be required to present a photo ID verifying their name and date of birth.

- All team members and managers must also check-in at the venue check-in desk prior to their first game.

- If any team member is not registered and checked-in, the entire team will forfeit all games played.

- No substitutions of players will be allowed at the Dixie Center check-in.

- HWSG ID Badges must be in players’ possession during all games and will be randomly checked.

- A copy of the playoff bracketing will be available for pick-up by the Team Manager or his representative at the St. George Recreation Center as follows:

> Tuesday, Oct. 4, 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm

> Tuesday, Oct 11, 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm

 

MEDALS

Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to each team member in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams of each division. Medals will be presented after each championship game.
