REGISTRATION RULES- Event is USTA sanctioned, however, all registration will be handled by HWSG. All USA residents must be members of USTA to compete. Call USTA at 800-990-8782 for membership information. International Federation memberships will be honored. - Participants must indicate their USTA Rating and USTA Number in the spaces provided on their registration form and submit a copy of their USTA card with their form. - Participants may enter a maximum of 2 events plus the Round Robin event. The 2 events may include a maximum of one each of Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. - Participants will be seeded based on past performance at the Huntsman World Senior Games and seeding information provided by USTA. If no seeding information is available we will seed participants to the best of our ability.
FORMAT / RULES- USTA rules will govern play. - Larger draws will begin on Monday--some participants may not start play until Tuesday. - Participants must present their HWSG ID Badge at the venue check-in desk before their first match. - Participants must also check-in at the venue check-in desk at least 15 minutes prior to each of their matches. - Participants will be defaulted if they are unable to play within 15 minutes after their match is called. - Draws with 8 or more participants will play a "Full Feed-In Consolation" format. - Draws with less than 8 participants may play a "Round-Robin" format. - Depending on the number of entries received, some draws may be combined. - Draws for first match will be posted at the Dixie Center, Tonaquint Tennis Complex and on http://tournaments.usta.com after September 18. - Matches are the best of 3 sets, with the 12-point tie-breaker at 6-6. - Winners of the semi-finals will play for Gold and Silver medals. Losers of the semi-finals will playoff for the Bronze medal. - For additional play at your competitive level, Round Robin is available. Round Robin will run from Monday, Oct. 3 through Friday, Oct. 7. Attend any or all sessions (of your competitive level) at your convenience. All sessions will be played at the Summit Athletic Club. - Round Robin is designed for tennis players who have been eliminated from medal play. After Tuesday, those players will be given priority in Round Robin scheduling.
MEDALSGold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded in each event (except Round Robin) for each division. Consolation winners will also receive a Consolation medal. Medals will be awarded at the conclusion of the match.
