Q:  How do I register on-line?

A:
Registration for individual athletes will open March 1, 2014.  On the homepage of our website (www.seniorgames.net) choose "Register" in the red bar, then "Register Today" from the drop-down list.  On the next page choose "Athlete registration".  You will now be on a page with two boxes, "Access My Account" and "Create a New Account".  If you have ever registered for the Games between 1987 and 2013 (on-line or by mail), we have an account already set up for you.  If you know the UserName and Password for your account, type it in the box on the left.  If you do not know your UserName and Password, click on "Forgot UserName and/or Password?" and the information will be sent to the email address we have on file for you.  If you do not have an email address on file or if you do not receive the email, please call (800-562-1268) or email (hwsg@seniorgames.net) our office for assistance.


Q:  I am a member of a team - do I choose "Athlete Registration" or "Team Registration"?


A:
 Choose "Athlete Registration".  "Team Registration" is only for Team Managers / Coaches / Captains to set up their team and manage their roster - it is not for individuals who want to register for the Games.


Q: I registered on-line - why is my "Years Attended" only "1" when I have been there several years?

A:
When you registered, you were given the choice to "Access My Account" and log-in with your UserName and Password or "Create a New Account".  If you chose "Create a New Account" the system thinks this is your first year.  This can be corrected.  Contact our office for assistance.

 
Q: Is my UserName and Password the same as it was last year?

A: Yes, for "individual" accounts, No, for "team" accounts.  For your "individual" account, your UserName and Password will remain the same from year to year, unless you change it.  When team managers/captains set up their "team" account, they will be asked to set up a new UserName and Password for that account each year.


Q:
Where do I find my athlete number?

A: Your athlete number remains the same from year to year and can be found on your registration confirmation.  If you do not remember your athlete number contact our office for assistance.


Q: Do I have a UserName and Password?

A: Everyone who registered for the Games between 1987 and 2013 (whether they registered on-line or by mail) has an account with a  Username and Password.  After you have registered, you may log into your account at any time to change your Username, Password, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address or shirt size.

Q: I have already registered my team and I have a Username and Password, but it does not work when I try to register as an individual.

A: As a Team Manager/Captain, you have two sets of Usernames and Passwords – one for your “team account” and one for your “individual account”.  This way, you could give your “team account” Username and Password to another team member (if you wanted them to monitor the team or if you were no longer able to fill the role of Team Manager) without worrying about the privacy issues of giving away your personal “individual account” information.  


Q:
Do I have to register for the Games before I come to St. George?

A: Yes.  To participate in the 2014 Games, you must register by September 1, 2014.

When can I register?

A: On-line registration opens March 1, 2014 and Registration by mail opens June 1, 2014.  ALL registration closes September 1, 2014

Can I register on-line?

A: Yes.  To register on-line, go to our website (www.seniorgames.net), click on “Register”  - "Register Today" and choose the “Athlete Registration” option.  Access your account by typing in your Username and Password (contact the office if you need assistance).  Once registered, you will receive an immediate confirmation of your entry by e-mail – be sure it is not blocked by your spam blocker!


Q:
How do I register if I don’t want to register on-line?

A: Handbook / Registration Form packets will be mailed to all individuals who attended the Games or requested information on the Games in any of the last three years.  There are “Athlete” and “Official Fan” registration forms stapled in the center of your Handbook.  Just pull the forms out (please do not tear them), complete the appropriate form and mail it to our office with your payment before September 1st.  The mailing address is: Huntsman World Senior Games; 1070 W 1600 S, A-103; St. George, UT  84770 - USA.


Q:
How do I register my (Basketball, Soccer, Softball or Volleyball) team?

A: To register your team on-line, go to our website, www.seniorgames.net, click on the “Register” tab and choose the “Team Registration” option.  When the Team Registration page opens, in the box on the left, click on “Register a team for the 2014 Games now!”.  Then just follow the instructions until you get your confirmation.  Print it, and you’re done!  If you do not want to register on-line, call our office and we will mail the required forms to you.


Q:
How do I send you my team roster? – I never received a Team Manager / Captain packet this year.

A: You do not have to send us your team roster!  Instead, as your team members register they will automatically be added to your team’s on-line roster.   You will be able to monitor your on-line roster and watch it grow as your players register.  Be sure to give your team members your Team Number so they will be added to the right team!


Q:
What if I want to register for a doubles event, but I don’t have a partner?  

A: We have a feature on our website called “PartnerFinder”.  It can be found under the “Sports” tab.  We recommend you check PartnerFinder to see if you can find a partner before you register.  If you want to register for an event before you find a partner, you may do so by leaving the “Partner’s Athlete Number” blank.  It will be your responsibility to find a partner and add the information to your registration before September 1.  If your registration has a blank partner on September 1, we may cancel that event for you and refund your event fee. 


Q:
Where do I find my “team number” and why can’t I just give you the name of the team?

A: Your Team Manager/Captain was given a Team Number when he/she registered your team.  We need the number to be sure you are added to the roster for the right team.


Q:
May I add or delete a sport or event to my on-line registration after I submit it?

A: Yes, but you cannot do it on-line.  Please call our office and we will process your change.


Q: My friend/spouse will be attending the Games with me.  Do I have to register him/her as an “Official Fan”?

A: No.  The “Official Fan” registration is optional.  If your friend/spouse would like an official Games shirt, a ticket to your Sport Social, an ID Badge, a $10 dinner ticket and if he/she would like to take advantage of the health screenings they may do so by purchasing an Official Fan registration.  Everyone, registered or not, will be welcomed as spectators at your sports venue, however a ticket will be required if they wish to attend your Sport Social. Please note:  only athletes and official fans will be allowed in the health screening area.   


Q:
Could I purchase a social ticket for my friend/spouse on-line if I don’t register him/her as an “Official Fan”?

A: No.  Social Tickets cannot be purchased on-line unless you are completing an Official Fan registration.  Tickets will be available at the Dixie Center during the Games for $8 or “at the door” for $10. 


Q:
Does my “Official Fan” need to register before the Games?

A: We recommend you register your Official Fan by September 1st. Two sports are available to “Official Fans” – Social Golf and Walking Tours.  If your Official Fan wants to participate in either of these two sports he/she must register by September 1st.  If they do not want to register for these two sports they can register at the Dixie Center when they get to St. George.


Q:
If I have to cancel my registration can I get a refund?

A:  If you send us a written notice of your cancellation / request for refund (by e-mail, mail or fax) by September 30, 2014, we will send you a refund equal to the registration fee you paid less a $25 processing fee.  Refund checks will be mailed by the end of October.  There will be no refunds for requests received after September 30, 2014.
