Participant Age: All athletes must be 50 years old by December 31, 2013. Athlete’s competition age will be based on his/her age on December 31, 2013. Exception - athlete’s competition age for Track and Field events will be based on his/her age on October 7, 2013.
Partner and Team Age: Partner and team age groups are determined by the age of the youngest partner / team member on December 31, 2013. In some cases a combined or average age of partners will be used (see individual sport pages).

Individuals / Partners: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+
Team Sports: 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+
Games officials reserve the right to cancel any event or combine age divisions due to insufficient entries.
Physical Condition: It is recommended that participants confer with their personal physician prior to this competition. It is also recommended that participants prepare for competition and train accordingly.
Gender: The Huntsman World Senior Games does not routinely require its participants to provide proof of gender. There may, however, be rare circumstances in which an athlete's gender is called into question. In these circumstances, an athlete shall be considered to have provided adequate proof of gender by presenting: A) A valid photo identification card such as a driver's license, passport or green card that states the athlete's gender, OR B) A copy of a valid in-force medical or health insurance policy that unequivocally states the athlete's gender. Birth certificates shall not be acceptable.

Registration Fee: Total Registration Fee = Registration Fee (below) + all applicable Sport Fees.
Early-Bird Athlete Registration Fee = $69 (postmarked by August 1)
Athlete Registration Fee = $89 (postmarked between August 2 and September 1)
Early-Bird Official Fan Registration Fee = $39 (postmarked by August 1)
Official Fan Registration Fee = $49 (postmarked between August 2 and September 1)
Team Registration Fee = $35 (team fee only - in addition, team members must register separately)
Registration Fee Includes: Official Games Shirt, $10 Dinner Ticket, ID Badge, Welcome Bag, Refreshments at Sport Venues, Transportation between Hotel and Sport Venues, Training Room / Services at the Games Headquarters, Games’ Handbook, Program and Results Book, and entry into the athlete’s Sport Social, Opening Ceremonies, Concert & Celebration, Global Cup Tournament and Health Screenings.

Registering for Multiple Events: Unless otherwise stated on a sport page, registration in multiple events is allowed but not encouraged. Several events are scheduled simultaneously and schedule changes will not be made to accommodate a multi-sport participant. No refunds will be made if athletes cannot participate in multiple events due to scheduling conflicts.
Registering Official Fans: Official Fans will receive a Games shirt, $10 Dinner Ticket, admission to their "accompanying athlete’s" Sport Sponsor Social, Health Screenings and will be allowed to participate in the events listed on the Official Fan Registration Form. Official Fans must be 21 years old. Registration of Official Fans is optional.
Confirmation of Entry: Participants who register on-line will receive an immediate confirmation of their entry. Participants who enter by mail will receive a letter of confirmation by email (if an email address is provided) or by mail within three weeks after receipt of your entry forms. Call the HWSG office if you do not receive your confirmation or if any information on the confirmation is incorrect.
Refusal of Entry: HWSG reserves the right to refuse entry to the Games to any individual for any reason.
Refunds: All refund requests must be in writing (email, fax or regular mail) and postmarked by September 30, 2013. A $25 processing fee will be assessed. Refund checks will be mailed on October 31. No refunds will be made due to cancellation of an event because of inclement weather.

Check-In: Prior to your first scheduled event, you must check-in at the Dixie Center, St. George. Each individual must check-in personally. A photo ID showing your date of birth will be required. At check-in you will receive your ID Badge, $10 Dinner Ticket, Official Games Shirt and Welcome Bag.
Dixie Center Hours of Operation
Sundays: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Mondays - Saturdays: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday, October 19: No check-in, Gift Shop is open from 9:00 am - Noon
Dinner Ticket: Each participant will receive one Dinner Ticket in the amount of $10 that is redeemable at any one of the participating restaurants listed on the ticket. Tickets may be used for breakfast, lunch or dinner. No change will be given if the full value is not used, tickets may not be redeemed for cash value, the $10 cannot be applied to alcoholic beverages or gratuities and tickets must be redeemed by October 31, 2013.
Engraving: Hooray! The Engraving Shoppe, will be at the Dixie Center to engrave up to 5 lines on your medal for a nominal fee.
Equipment: Participants are required to provide their own equipment, except as specified on their sport page.
Event Cancellations / Postponements: In the event of inclement weather, Games officials reserve the right to cancel or postpone outdoor events. During the Games, check www.seniorgames.net, call or visit the Information Desk and/or the Sports Den for the latest updates. Games officials also reserve the right to cancel any event or combine age groups due to insufficient entries. In all cases, there will be no refunds.
Games Gift Shop: Official Games merchandise and souvenir items will be available for sale at the Official Games Gift Shop located in the Dixie Center. Gift Shop hours coincide with athlete Check-In hours.
Languages: Translators will be available. Please notify the Games office of arrival time and language assistance needed.
Lost and Found: Located at the Games Information Desk in the Dixie Center(1835 Convention Center Dr., St. George).
Medals: Medals will be awarded after an event or at the Sport Sponsor Social (see sport page). Any medals not picked up at these times will be available at the Games Information Desk at the Dixie Center the following day. No medals will be mailed.
Medical: Medical personnel and standby ambulance service will be available at some venue sites. Any ambulance transport will be at your expense. The Medical Support Team is sponsored by Intermountain Sports Medicine - Southwest.
Photographers: Official Games Photographers will be located at the Dixie Center and will be taking individual, team and some action photos that will be available for purchase.
Results: During the Games, results will be posted at www.seniorgames.net and on the Sport Boards in the Sports Den at the Dixie Center. An Official Results Book, including results of all sports, will be mailed to your home by the end of December.
Sport Boards: Sport Boards with the latest information on schedules and results will be located in the Sports Den at the Dixie Center (1835 Convention Center Dr., St. George).
Shuttle Service: The Games will operate a free venue shuttle service to transport participants from their hotel to their sport venue sites. Calls for shuttle must be made 1½ hours in advance. The phone number for the Games shuttle service is (435) 986-6667. Vehicles are supplied by Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Time Zone: St. George is in the Mountain Time Zone; Nevada (Las Vegas and Mesquite) is in the Pacific Time Zone - a one hour difference. Consider this when making your travel arrangements.
Transportation: St. George has local taxi and limousine service and a public transportation system. Visit the Games Information Desk at the Dixie Center for schedules and information.
