The first day of Check-In comes to a close for the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah, USA. Approximately half of the more that 10,000 registered athletes made their way through the Check-In process receiving their Athlete Identification Badges, Welcome Bags and Official shirts. Tomorrow begins the first day of competition with a number of sports getting things started first thing in the morning.
“I think it was a great day,” said Kyle M Case, Games CEO. “We had a lot of people come through the doors. They’re excited to be here and get things rolling and so are we.”
The athletes and community will celebrate this year's Games at the Opening Ceremonies on Tuesday, October 9. The event is free to everyone, begins at 7:00 PM and takes place at the Hansen Stadium on the Campus of Dixie State College.
The Huntsman World Senior Games is the largest annual multi-sport event in the world for athletes 50 and over.
