Divisions:
5-Year Age Brackets
Expert, Sport and Beginner Skill Divisions

Age Divisions: 
Individuals:  50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+
Games officials reserve the right to cancel any event or combine age divisions due to insufficient entries.
 

Sport Fee:
$10 Per Event

Registration Deadline: 
Early Bird Deadline (Save $20) – August 1
Final Registration Deadline – September 1

Registration Rules:
• Participation is limited to the first 300 registered athletes.
• Event is sanctioned by USA Cycling (#TBA) – all USA Cycling-Mountain Biking rules apply.
• Annual USA Cycling-Mountain Biking Licenses are mandatory for riders in the Expert division.  Purchase your annual license prior to the Games – call USA Cycling at 719-434-4200 or purchase on-line at www.usacycling.org.  International licenses will be honored.
• Riders in the Sport and Beginner divisions who do not have USA Cycling-Mountain Biking Licenses will be required to purchase Mountain Biking “day licenses.”   
• Licenses will also be available for purchase at the Dixie Center.  The following fees apply:  Annual USA Cycling-Mountain License - $70/year - includes Cycling;  Mountain Bike “Day License” - $10/day
• Participants must register in the same division (i.e., Expert, Sport or Beginner) for all three races.

Format / Rules: 
• A copy of the race bible will be available at the Dixie Center during the Games.
• All participants must check-in at the Dixie Center where they will receive their Huntsman World Senior Games ID Badge and purchase their USA Cycling-Mountain annual or day license.   Race packets will be available at the venue check-in desk prior to each event.
• Participants must present their Huntsman World Senior GamesID Badge and USA Cycling-Mountain Biking license (or receipt of license purchase) at the venue check-in desk prior to each event.
• Pre-race meetings will be held 45 minutes prior to the start of each race.
• Helmets and shoes are required at all times.
• Chip timing will be used.

Event Descriptions: 
Hill Climb
Date: Friday, Oct. 16
Time: 8:45 am – Check-In and Race Number Pick-Up;  9:30 am – Race Start
Location: Green Valley Mountain Bike Trail, End of Canyon View Drive, St. George
Course: Climb 700 vertical feet on a dirt road to the mesa overlook at Green Valley. The view is spectacular, well worth the climb! (approximate distance - 1.9 miles).
Note: Riders participating in the Down Hill race should remain at the top of the hill in preparation for the start of that race. 

Down Hill
Date: Friday, Oct. 16
Time: Following Hill Climb
Location: Green Valley Mountain Bike Trail, End of Canyon View Drive, St. George 
Course: After climbing 700 feet, practice and gear up for the fast, groomed single-track down. 
Note: Immediately following Hill Climb race.

Cross Country
Date: Saturday, Oct. 17
Time: 8:45 am – Check-In and Race Number Pick-Up;  9:30 am – Race Start 
Location: Green Valley Mountain Bike Trail, End of Canyon View Drive, St. George
Course: Course includes Hill Climb and Down Hill races previously described.  Beginners will ride a separate course.

Men (50-69):
Expert - 3 laps, approx. 21 miles 
Sport - 2 laps, approx. 14 miles 
Beginner - 2 laps, approx. 4 miles 

Men (70+):
Expert - 2 laps, approx. 14 miles 
Sport - 1 lap, approx. 7 miles 
Beginner - 1 lap, approx. 2 miles 

Women (50-54):
Expert - 2 laps, approx. 14 miles 
Sport - 1 lap, approx.  7 miles 
Beginner - 2 laps, approx. 4 miles

Women (55+): 
Expert - 1 lap, approx. 7 miles 
Sport - 1 lap, approx.  7 miles 
Beginner - 1 lap, approx. 2 miles 

Medals: 
• Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers, respectively for each age group and division.   
• Medals for each event will be awarded at the Sport Sponsor Social.
• Overall awards will be presented to the overall best in each division.  Participants must enter a minimum of two events to qualify for the “overall” award.  Overall awards will be presented at the Sport Sponsor Social.
